Overview
Beginning in 1984, Dr. Powers has been a certified B-Reader providing individual case B-Reader interpretations, individual imaging work-ups (including chest x-rays, supine spiral CTs and prone HRCTs), large screening projects, and expert witness services. Dr. Daniel Powers should be your first choice to determine whether a respiratory problem is seen on imaging studies caused by occupational dust and fiber exposure such as asbestosis, silicosis or coal workers' pneumoconiosis.

If you or your client is:
  • part of a work force exposed to occupational dusts or fibers, seeking verification or proof of such exposure and internal damage
  • family members of a worker exposed to occupational dusts and fibers experiencing secondary exposure, such as from the work clothing brought home to be washed.
  • an occupational clinic monitoring patients for the presence or absence of disease
  • a company having workers with exposures needing monitoring or review
  • a union seeking the determination of the imaging presence of such diseases in your membership
  • a government agency with a population having had appropriate exposure
  • an insurance adjuster or defense attorney processing/defending a claim
  • an applicant/plaintiff attorney prosecuting a workers' compensation or personal injury claim
All can benefit from the diagnostic interpretive skills, as performed doing primary imaging studies with interpretations or second opinions on studies done elsewhere, available from Dr. Daniel Powers.
